Mr Prosyankin began his career as a corporate finance and due diligence specialist with Deloitte in Moscow. In 2009 Mr Prosyankin was headhunted to work for BTA Bank, Kazakhstan on what was the largest corporate fraud in Kazakh history and would become the largest commercial litigation in the High Court of England and Wales. Mr Prosyankin successfully led the development and implementation of the international strategy of multi-jurisdictional litigation and asset recovery process on behalf of BTA Bank.
The main focus of this project was a highly successful $6 billion dollar litigation in the Commercial Court of the High Court of England and Wales. In February 2014 Bloomberg Markets described Mr Prosyankin as the “financial brain” of the entire process.
As part of this work Mr. Prosyankin was responsible for managing teams of professionals (lawyers, forensic accountants, corporate investigators, bankers, etc.) and acting as a liaison between such professionals and the bank’s management board, the board of directors and the shareholders.
Interviewing and selecting solicitors and barristers, determining strategy, appropriate jurisdiction and forum, time planning, budget, PR, training, disclosure and document management matters are all matters in which Mr Prosyankin has had significant experience, in particular in London.
